Visa On Arrival
As a passport holder of this country, you may apply for a visa at immigration checkpoint for the purpose of tourism for the period of not exceeding 15 days
To Apply Visa On Arrival Passenger Must:
- Have the purpose to traveling in the Kingdom for
not over than 15 days
- Have genuine and valid passport or document used in lieu of passport
- Present the proper ticket that indicate the time to stay and leave the
Kingdom within 15 days
- Not be prohibited by the Immigration Act B.E.2522 (section 12, 14 and 16)
- Carry money not less than 10,000 baht (Approx. 335 AUD) for one person and
not less than 20,000 baht (Approx. 650 AUD) for one family
Things to prepare:
- One recent passport size photographs (4 x 6 cm.)
- Passport which validity not less than 6 months
- Ticket to stay and leave the Kingdom within 15 days
- A proof of accomodation in the Kingdom
- Money 10,000 baht (Approx. 335 AUD) for one person and not less than 20,000
baht (Approx. 670 AUD) for one family
- Filled in application form
- Application fee 1,000 baht (Thai money only)
Please note that you cannot file an application for extension of stay except
in special cases such as illness which prevents them from travelling, etc. If

N.B. For those who hold travel documents for aliens, namely; alien
passport or C.I. could not apply for this temporary tourist visa at the

Business Visa
OVERVIEW
For business people who wish to visit Thailand for business purposes, for example, to attend a conference or training session, to conduct business with a Thailand-based organisation, to conduct business negotiations or for an exploratory business visit, you may apply for a Non-immigrant "B" visa before entering Thailand. The Non–immigrant “B” visa has 2 categories:
- Single entry visa will allow you to stay up to 90 days in Thailand and is valid for 3 months.
- Multiple entries visa will allow you to stay up to 90 days in Thailand on each visit and is valid for multiple entries within 12 months.

OVERVIEW
If you wish to enter Thailand for employment purposes, you may apply for a Non-immigrant “B” visa before entering Thailand. The Non–immigrant “B” visa has 2 categories:
- Single entry visa will allow you to stay up to 90 days in Thailand and is valid for 3 months.
- Multiple entries visa will allow you to stay up to 90 days in Thailand on each visit and is valid for multiple entries within 12 months. However, you must have a valid work permit in Thailand before applying for multiple entries visa.

Additional information
Upon entry into Thailand, an applicant or his/her appointed representatives
must apply for a work permit at the Office of Foreign Workers Administration,
Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour, in which the applicant will be
obligated to pay income tax accordingly. If the applicant’s associated
company is located in the provinces, a work permit may be applied at the
Employment Office of that province.

OVERVIEW
This type of visa will be issued to applicants who
wish to enter Thailand for the following purposes:
- To travel in transit (category "TS") through the Thailand or

Additional information
Upon arrival in Thailand, applicants who seek employment with an NGO in
Thailand, or his/her appointed representatives, must apply for a work permit at
the Office of Foreign Workers Administration, Department of Employment,

Retirement Visa
OVERVIEW
Eligibility
- Must be 50 years of age and above on the date of submitting an application;
- Must not be a person prohibited from entering Thailand;
- Must not have criminal record in Thailand or in the country of his/her nationality or the country of his/her residence;
- Must have no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 (B.E. 2535) i.e. Leprosy, Tuberculosis (T.B.), Elephantiasis, drug addiction, alcoholism and third step of Syphilis;
- Must have the nationality of or permanent residence in the country where his/her application is submitted; and
- Must not seek employment in Thailand.
Documents required
- A passport with validity not less than 18 months
A set of original documents consisting of the following:
- A completed and signed visa application FORM A with one photo (3.5x4.5 cm.) taken within last 6 months without wearing glasses or headgear (photocopy not accepted) attached to the application form;
- A copy of passport personal detail page
- A completed Personal Data Form;
- A copy of a bank statement showing a deposit at the amount equal to no less than 800,000 Baht, or an income statement (an original copy) with a monthly salary of no less than 65,000.00 Baht, or a deposit account plus monthly income of no less than 800,000 Baht a year;
- A letter from a bank or financial institution (an original copy) confirming sufficient funds;
- A police name check certificate issued no longer than 3 months prior to submitting the application;
- A medical certificate indicating that the applicant has no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535) issued no longer than 3 months prior to submitting the application;
In case the applicant wishes to have his/her spouse who does not qualify for a retirement visa stay in Thailand with the applicant, their marriage certificate shall also be produced as evidence (the spouse will be considered for a non-immigrant visa category "O").
Important note:
- When you have prepared all the original documents as required above, you must then make 3 copies of each document. (Photos and signatures must not be photocopied)
- After you have made copies of all the documents, you must separate the documents into 4 sets. Within these sets, arrange the documents in the order given above. All together you will have 1 set of the original documents and 3 sets of copies of the original documents.
- After the 4 sets of documents have been prepared, you must then take them to a Notary Public to bind and notarized each set of documents (the documents must only be binded by the Notary Public).

Validity of stay
Upon arrival, you will be allowed to stay in Thailand for a period of not
exceeding 12 months. However, the period of stay granted is at the
discretion of the immigration officer.
Extension of stay

- At the end of the 12 months stay, if you wish to extend your stay, you can submit a request for the extended period of stay at the Immigration Bureau along with evidence of money transfer, or a deposit account in Thailand, or an income statement; proving that you have the amount of no less than 800,000 Baht, or an income statement with a deposit account that adds up to no less than 800,000 Baht a year.
- If your spouse wishes to extend his/her stay as well, a marriage certificate has to be produced.
- The extension of stay and change of certain types of visa is at the discretion of the Immigration Officer.
Recommendations for foreigners while staying in Thailand
- When completing the stay of 90 days in Thailand, the foreigner shall report to the immigration officer in his/her residential area, or report to the police station in his/her residence area every 90 days.
You may report to the competent authority by mail
with the following instructions:
a) Complete Report Form (Tor Mo 47) together with a copy of your passport pages
showing your photograph, personal details, and the latest arrival stamp.
b) A self-addressed envelop with postage affixed, containing the requirements
shall be forwarded 7 days before the due date by acknowledgement of receipt
mail to the Immigration Bureau, South Sathon Road, Sathon District, Bangkok
10120.
b) In case of conducting any following reports, the Reply Form for the previous
report shall be enclosed as well.
